But it wasn\u2019t whipped cream at all. It was sunscreen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Her children, 9 and 6, immediately extended their hands, then smeared generous helpings all over their arms and legs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">\u201cIt looked ridiculous,\u201d said Ms. Johnson, a 37-year-old brand consultant who lives in Seattle. \u201cWe were all laughing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">That is sort of the point. Marty Bell, a partner at Vacation, a sunscreen company based in Miami, which released Classic Whip sunscreen in August 2022, said the idea came out of a brainstorming session that wandered onto the topic of foods. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"css-s99gbd StoryBodyCompanionColumn\">\n<div class=\"css-53u6y8\">\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">\u201cWe couldn\u2019t stop laughing at the idea of a whipped cream sunscreen,\u201d he said. \u201cThere\u2019s something incredibly nostalgic and playful about whipped cream,\u201d he said, adding that the team \u201cbecame determined to find a way to replicate that whole experience with sunscreen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Applying sunscreen can be a laborious summertime chore, especially for parents trying to corral kids, a cohort notorious for their objections to sun protection.
