And health officials in Illinois have <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/dph.illinois.gov\/resource-center\/news\/2024\/april\/2024-04-08---idph-alerts-healthcare-providers-to-cluster-of-illn.html\" title rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">also warned<\/a> health care providers to watch out for patients with symptoms of botulism after two people developed blurred or double vision, facial drooping, fatigue, hoarse voices and had difficulty breathing after injections of Botox or a possible counterfeit product.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Botulism is a rare but serious illness that occurs when a <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/botulism\/general.html#:~:text=Botulism%20(%E2%80%9CBOT%2Dchoo%2D,butyricum%20and%20Clostridium%20baratii%20bacteria.\" title rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">toxin attacks nerves in the body<\/a>.
