That includes TikTok, friends and family, podcasts and other sources outside the traditional health care system.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">I\u2019m eager to understand how information from those sources might influence people\u2019s health care decisions. In particular, I want to learn what drives people to consider alternative treatments that doctors don\u2019t typically recommend for a given health issue. These might include supplements, detox diets, experimental treatments such as <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/06\/05\/well\/stem-cell-therapy-health.html\" title>certain stem cell therapies<\/a> or off-label uses of prescription medications.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">If you or someone close to you has tried a treatment like this, I want to hear from you.
