The popular app has built a global social media community, but its users\u2019 enthusiastic uploads have also raised questions about data privacy, especially among security and military personnel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">In Sweden, the data reveal added to the security concerns of a country that was recently rattled by what it called an \u201c<a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/01\/27\/world\/europe\/cable-baltic-sea-sweden-damage.html\" title>act of sabotage<\/a>\u201d against an undersea cable. This week, the Swedish daily newspaper,Dagens Nyheter <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dn.se\/sverige\/har-lacker-sapo-hemliga-uppgifter-om-ulf-kristersson\/\" title rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a> that it tracked more than 1,400 workouts by seven bodyguards over the last year. The data showed that the bodyguards trained in the Alps, along Ukraine\u2019s border with Poland and at a military base in Mali. Sweden\u2019s security police <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sakerhetspolisen.se\/ovriga-sidor\/nyheter\/nyheter\/2025-07-08-uppgifter-i-traningsapp-kopplat-till-personal-vid-sakerhetspolisen.html\" title rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">confirmed<\/a> that the data was linked to some employees of the secret service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Their routes gave away the address of the prime minister\u2019s private residence, as well as the location of a personal trip he took with his wife in October of last year.
