It\u2019s home to just 10,000 or so people scattered across nine small coral islands that add up to less than 10 square miles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">It has been losing land to rising seas and further losses could make it one of the first countries to become uninhabitable because of climate change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Seawater is increasingly seeping into the country\u2019s few drinking-water wells.
