I wish I could retreat to a mountaintop, but my more realistic plan is to seek out the smallest possible things I can do each day to give myself a lift.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Every morning, for instance, I open my <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/merlin.allaboutbirds.org\/\" title rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Merlin Bird ID<\/a> app to see if any new birds have shown up in my backyard.
