At the time, he played in an amateur ice hockey league in Westchester County, N.Y., but his injuries were piling up and he needed a different way to stay active. Mr. Gensburg, who had virtually no running experience, started jogging on a leafy two-mile trail near his home. He was instantly hooked.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">\u201cI became enchanted, frankly, with being in the woods doing something at your own pace,\u201d he said. \u201cIt is a wonderful way to be in nature.
