Mr. Trump\u2019s order abruptly threw that relationship into disarray by barring U.S. companies from providing services to the prosecutor, Karim Khan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Soon after, Microsoft, which is based in Redmond, Wash., suspended Mr. Khan\u2019s I.C.C. email account, freezing him out of communications with colleagues just a few months after the court had issued an <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/11\/21\/world\/middleeast\/icc-arrest-warrant-why-israel-hamas.html\" title>arrest warrant<\/a> for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel for his country\u2019s actions in Gaza.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Microsoft\u2019s swift compliance with Mr. Trump\u2019s order, reported earlier by <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/icc-trump-sanctions-karim-khan-court-a4b4c02751ab84c09718b1b95cbd5db3\" title rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">The Associated Press<\/a>, shocked policymakers across Europe.
