So she ate half a gummy, got into her workout clothes and went to the class.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">The shouting didn\u2019t bother her anymore. \u201cI was brighter, lighter,\u201d Ms. O\u2019Brien said, adding that the small dose kept her going through the session. Now she frequently mixes cannabis and exercise, regularly attending the boxing class along with Pilates and boot camp workouts after taking weed products.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Scientists have refuted the idea that marijuana <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/07\/09\/sports\/olympics\/marijuana-sports-performance-enhancing.html\" title>is a performance enhancer<\/a> for competitive athletes. But close behind was pain relief. Research has shown that marijuana can help some patients <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/nap.nationalacademies.org\/read\/24625\/chapter\/6#89\" title rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">alleviate chronic pain<\/a>, which affects some <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC3201926\/\" title rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">one in five people<\/a> around the world.
