But it is also seeking huge cuts to programs that reduce drug demand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">The budget it submitted to Congress this month seeks to eliminate more than a billion dollars for <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/live\/2025\/04\/25\/us\/trump-news#narcan-grants-cuts-kennedy\" title>national and regional<\/a> treatment and prevention services.
