She would soon be in the same room with three women who had helped her through some of the shakiest, most vulnerable moments in her life, even though they didn\u2019t know it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Hagen, a New Jersey resident, had braved the pouring rain and Times Square crowds to attend a sold-out talk by the best-selling memoirist Glennon Doyle; her soccer Hall of Famer wife, Abby Wambach; and Amanda Doyle, Glennon\u2019s sister and co-founder of the women\u2019s media company \u2014 hosts of the podcast \u201cWe Can Do Hard Things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">\u201cThe podcast has gotten me through <em class=\"css-2fg4z9 e1gzwzxm0\">so<\/em> many things,\u201d Hagen said, noting that she had read Glennon\u2019s 2020 memoir, \u201cUntamed,\u201d no less than four times. Much like the author, Hagen got divorced and came out as gay in her 40s. The books, the podcast, all of it helps her feel as if she is not alone, she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">It\u2019s a sentiment I heard again and again when speaking to fans (mostly women) who filled the Town Hall theater in Manhattan on Monday \u2014 the woman in her 70s who, like Glennon, has been in eating disorder recovery for years; the queer woman in her 40s who, like Wambach, is navigating the ups and downs of stepparenting; the lawyers who give \u201cUntamed\u201d to clients reeling from the messiness of divorce.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"Dropzone-1\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"css-s99gbd StoryBodyCompanionColumn\" data-testid=\"companionColumn-1\">\n<div class=\"css-53u6y8\">\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">\u201cWe can do hard things\u201d has long been gospel for Glennon stans \u2014 it\u2019s the title of the trio\u2019s new book, out this week.
