But millions of Americans still breathe polluted air every day, leading to both acute and chronic health conditions that, in some cases, increase the risk of early death.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">At least 156.1 million people live with air that got the poorest grade of F for at least one pollutant, and at least 42 million people live in counties that failed all three pollutant standards.
