The authors accounted for health and sociodemographic differences between comparison groups, some of which play a role in cognitive decline.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">The data do not reveal how much cannabis the subjects had been using, and the study does not prove that regular or heavy cannabis use plays a causal role in dementia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"Dropzone-1\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"css-s99gbd StoryBodyCompanionColumn\" data-testid=\"companionColumn-1\">\n<div class=\"css-53u6y8\">\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">But the finding does raise serious concerns that require further exploration, said Dr. Daniel T.
