failings across all public transport and says &#8220;too great a burden is placed on individual disabled people&#8221; to hold operators and authorities to account.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fezwLZ\">Disabled-led charity Transport for All is urging the government to act on the report&#8217;s findings.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fezwLZ\">Local Transport Minister Simon Lightwood said &#8220;there is more to do to ensure everyone can travel easily and with dignity&#8221;.<!-- --><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-component=\"text-block\" class=\"sc-18fde0d6-0 dlWCEZ\">\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fezwLZ\">&#8220;It&#8217;s clear that accessibility has been an afterthought in developing transport services and there is more to do to ensure everyone can travel easily and with dignity,&#8221; he added.<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fezwLZ\">The report found nearly seven in 10 disabled people report experiencing barriers to travel either most or all of the time.<!-- --><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<figure>\n<div data-component=\"image-block\" class=\"sc-18fde0d6-0 gfTVSf\">\n<div data-testid=\"image\" class=\"sc-a34861b-1 jxzoZC\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/medexperts.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/grey-placeholder.png\" class=\"sc-a34861b-0 cOpVbP hide-when-no-script\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/medexperts.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/58331610-04da-11f0-97d3-37df2b293ed1.jpg.webp\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Ruth Cadbury MP stood in a park with Westminster in the background.\" class=\"sc-a34861b-0 efFcac\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<div data-component=\"text-block\" class=\"sc-18fde0d6-0 dlWCEZ\">\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fezwLZ\">Ruth Cadbury MP, who chairs the transport select committee, told the BBC: &#8220;I&#8217;m so disappointed that my fellow citizens, my constituents can&#8217;t make the kind of choices that I can make about how they live their day to day lives.&#8221;<!-- --><\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-eb7bd5f6-0 fezwLZ\">MPs say that the current system is too difficult to navigate.
