But there is an inverse problem that can set in with age: lasting too long.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">For some men, reaching climax can take 30 minutes or more. Sex that lasts this long can be uncomfortable, painful and distressing for men and their partners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Delayed orgasm, as the condition is known, is more commonly associated with women \u2014 and for good reason, given the persistent <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/08\/06\/well\/family\/orgasm-gap-women-age.html\" title>orgasm gap<\/a> in heterosexual relationships. But up to <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC5002002\/#:~:text=The%20estimated%20prevalence%20of%20inability,the%20inability%20to%20achieve%20orgasm.\" title rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">10 percent of men over the age of 40<\/a> struggle with it, too.
