The call came after the BBC sent readers a notification about Luigi Mangione, the man arrested after the killing of Brian Thompson, the health care insurance executive, in New York City. Some <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/cge93de21n0o\" title rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">iPhones summarized BBC news stories<\/a> saying, \u201cLuigi Mangione shoots himself.\u201d He had not.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">In addition to disabling news summaries, Apple said that it would be adding a warning for users who opt in to receive notification summaries for other apps.
