Reddit\u2019s website was inaccessible on Wednesday afternoon as tens of thousands of users reported having trouble with the site to Downdetector<\/a> starting just before 3 p.m.<\/p>\n

A spokesman for Reddit, the community-focused message board site, said that there was a bug in a recent update made to the website.<\/p>\n

\u201cA fix is in place and we\u2019re ramping back up,\u201d the spokesman said in an email at 4:43 p.m.<\/p>\n

Earlier, just before 4 p.m., Reddit posted an update on social media<\/a>: \u201cYes. We\u2019re working on it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
