She sighed and turned off the machine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">\u201cI had left the door wide open,\u201d she said. After helping him, she surrendered to the couch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">It\u2019s a story that\u2019s played out in millions of homes, as women feel pulled between taking care of themselves and taking care of family. In <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nih.gov\/news-events\/news-releases\/women-may-realize-health-benefits-regular-exercise-more-men\" title rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">one recent study<\/a> of 400,000 Americans, only 33 percent of women met weekly recommendations for aerobic exercise, as opposed to 43 percent of men.
