So she started exercising with a trainer she met through her physiotherapy clinic. <\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">The sessions have made a difference. Ms. Palmer has seen improvements in her joint mobility and range of motion, she said. \u201cSo many people accept everything as a part of aging, but it doesn\u2019t have to be that way,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m going to fight to the bitter end.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">As you age, strength training <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/27102172\/\" title rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">twice a week<\/a> can help you stay healthy. But starting a new fitness program can be challenging at any age, and all the more so if you have mobility issues or joint pain.
