This was true even when clinical trial participants consumed high levels of sodium.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Nearly <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/02\/29\/well\/live\/high-blood-pressure-lower.html\" title>half of adults in the United States have high blood pressure<\/a>, so a lot of people would benefit from adopting the DASH diet, said Dr. Stephen Juraschek, an internal medicine physician and associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"Dropzone-1\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"css-s99gbd StoryBodyCompanionColumn\" data-testid=\"companionColumn-1\">\n<div class=\"css-53u6y8\">\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Yet few people actually follow it.
