It is not contagious from person to person.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">There is no treatment for the disease, and about 30 percent of people who get it die, <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/eastern-equine-encephalitis\/about\/index.html\" title rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a>.
