Done was <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/05\/13\/well\/mind\/cerebral-adhd-medication-tiktok.html\" title>one of several<\/a> telehealth companies that became popular during pandemic lockdowns, when the government relaxed restrictions around online prescriptions for controlled substances such as Adderall.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">\u201cThese defendants exploited the Covid-19 pandemic to develop and carry out a $100 million scheme to defraud taxpayers and provide easy access to Adderall and other stimulants for no legitimate medical purpose,\u201d Attorney General Merrick B. Garland said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">The indictment comes amid ongoing shortages of <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/11\/16\/well\/mind\/adderall-shortage-withdrawal-symptoms-adhd.html\" title>Adderall<\/a> and another stimulant, <a class=\"css-yywogo\" href=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/scripts\/drugshortages\/dsp_ActiveIngredientDetails.cfm?AI=Lisdexamfetamine%20Dimesylate%20Capsule&amp;st=c\" title rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Vyvanse<\/a>.
