Stress incontinence is usually caused by damage to either the muscles or supportive tissues along the urethra, or the valve between the bladder and the urethra, Dr. Johnson said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Another common form is urge incontinence, which happens when you feel the need to urinate even when your bladder isn\u2019t full, Dr. Johnson said. This is often a result of nerve injuries that affect the brain\u2019s control over the bladder.
