Young of the Federal District Court for the District of Massachusetts ordered the government to restore much of the funding.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\">Judge Young, a Reagan appointee with 40 years of experience as a federal judge, said the Trump administration\u2019s rationale for canceling the grants, which support research into topics such as gender identity and equity in health care, appeared to be rooted in prejudice.
